Public Statement

Recently there are news circulating in the media concerning the use of trained animal labour, specifically monkeys used for coconuts harvesting.

We wish to confirm that neither our production, manufacturing nor suppliers use animal labour to harvest coconuts used in our manufacturing facilities to produce food and beverage products.

This practice is non-existent in Malaysia and it is against our corporate practices. Our supply chain starting from the raw material up to the finished goods meet all local laws and regulations and you can be rest assured that there is no involvement whatsoever to animal abuse, cruelty, and testing.

LINACO sources its coconuts from Indonesia and Malaysia. Manual harvesting methods using pole pickers, which are made of a long bamboo shaft and a blade are used by the skillful farmers to cut the coconuts bunches from trees.

The following pictures and videos are the reference to the harvesting method.
