IN THE BEGINNING

There were coconuts…

Our History…

1992: On 22 February,
Linaco Holdings Sdn Bhd was established. Founded by Mr. Richard Ling, LINACO began to manufacture high-quality coconut cream powder.
It started in a modest operation; with
the headquarters in a rented premise in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and the factory
in Batu Pahat, Johor. LINACO employed
a small but very enthusiastic team, ready and able to take on multiple jobs. In those early days, the aim was to keep costs down and spend only what we could afford.

Rasaku

1994: Tan Sri Rafidah binti Aziz, Malaysia’s then Minister of International Trade and Industry, officially launched LINACO’s iconic Rasaku brand of coconut cream powder – a brand which over the years has become synonymous with high-quality, coconut-related products. The name was chosen by the founding members to evoke the feelings of comfort and love that warm us when we savour our mothers’ home-cooked secret recipes.

Claypot

Linaco Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. is formerly known as Hofong Foods Industry Sdn. Bhd. and Jastar Food Industries Sdn. Bhd

Claypot Rendang Ayam was recognised as a highly commended product from Malaysian Institute of Food Technology in 1991.

1997: The acquisition of our first brand – Claypot, pre-packaged herbal soup mixes, which significantly extended our footprint in the food and beverage industry.

1998: LINACO moved to a new and bigger site in Taman Klang Utama to facilitate the merger and the expanding operations to accommodate the growth of the Rasaku and Claypot brands.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
